About this tool

This adds a visual signature image, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. It is accepted for many everyday forms, leases and agreements, but it is not a certificate-based digital signature (like PAdES), which some legal and government processes require.

Frequently asked questions

Is an electronic signature legally binding?

In the US (ESIGN Act) and EU (eIDAS), simple electronic signatures are generally valid for most contracts, but rules vary. Check requirements for important documents.

Can I sign several pages?

Choose “All pages” or “Last page” to place the signature in the same position on those pages.

Is my signature stored?

No. It exists only in this browser tab and in the file you download.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
