About this tool

Fillable (AcroForm) PDFs contain named fields. This tool lists every field with the right input type: text, checkbox, dropdown or radio group. Turn on Flatten to bake the answers into the page, which is often required when submitting forms. Non-fillable scans have no fields; use Sign PDF to place text-like signatures instead.

Frequently asked questions

Why are no fields found?

The PDF is not a fillable form (it may be a scan or a flattened print). Only AcroForm fields can be filled. XFA forms from older Adobe LiveCycle are not supported.

Will others be able to edit my answers?

If you flatten the form, answers become part of the page and can’t be edited as fields.

Are my answers uploaded?

No. The form is filled entirely in your browser.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
