Edit PDF Metadata

Set a proper title that shows in browser tabs and search results, or strip author names before you share a file.

Private by design. Your files are processed on this device and never uploaded. No account, no watermark, no limits.

How to use Edit PDF Metadata

  1. Drop a PDF
  2. Edit the fields (they are pre-filled with the current values)
  3. Click Save metadata and download

About this tool

PDF properties often leak information: the author’s name, the software and sometimes an internal file path. The title also appears in browser tabs and Google results for PDFs on the web, so a clear title helps SEO. Use “Remove all” to blank every field.

Frequently asked questions

Where is PDF metadata shown?

In File → Properties in Acrobat and Preview, in browser tabs, and in search engine results for public PDFs.

Does this remove XMP metadata?

The standard document info fields are replaced. Some PDFs also carry a separate XMP packet, which some readers prefer, and which this tool leaves in place.

Will the document content change?

No, only the properties.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
